Who is The Lone Wolf Chef?…

Hi there, Im Joe! Here’s a little bit more information about myself, my background and who I am!

After working as a pot wash in a local pub from the age of 14, and then slowly being introduced to helping out on starters, desserts and sides, I just knew I had found my calling from a young age. I graduated Kendal Collage in 2010 with my NVQ l3, I then when on to work in a number of different Lake District restaurants, all with very different kitchens, very different staff and very different vibes. Throughout the years, I slowly climbed the ladder, working under and with so many different and great chefs, where I just tried to absorb as much knowledge as I could.

However, after working for years, doing long 15 hour days in large hotels, I found that it was starting to dull my passion, and it wasn’t until I became a Head Chef in 2017 that I rediscovered my love for my craft. I found myself in a position where I was able to finally write my own menus and have full creative control.

In 2023 myself and my wife joined forces to create Lone Wolf Elopements! “Creating a bespoke love story: where intimate elegance meets grand Scottish charm”, we create a unique, romantic, one-of-a-kind, elopement adventure for couples who are looking for something truly magical. With a bespoke storytelling dining experience cooked by myself, professional photography, along with dramatic flowers, romantic music, maximalist styling, bespoke activities and much more! It was actually this venture that led me to splintering off to offer my storytelling menus to everybody, not just people who are getting married - as I feel they are too good to not share far and wide, if I do say so myself!

I am continuously inspired by new ideas, by your stories and by the freedom to experiment, and I am always committed to constantly evolving as a chef, pushing boundaries and creating something unique.
